” I am an eco-conscious artist based in Unama'ki Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. Creating meaningful watercolour paintings with all natural earth pigments. For the past several years I have committed to a fully natural, non-toxic studio, foraging and sourcing pigments from the earth and pairing them with plant-based mediums. My practice is as much about stewardship as it is about image-making: every painting

MEET THE ARTIST

begins with rocks, soil, plants or sustainably sourced minerals that I hand-process into paint. Along side my studio work I help other artists transition to safer materials through my online shop Naturally Sourced Fine Art Supplies, sharing what I have learned about creating archival, professional quality work without synthetic chemicals. When I am not painting you can find me managing my family's printing company or out in the woods and along the shores scouting for new colours! I am a self taught artist with a background in Business, Interior Design and Photography with a deep appreciation for nature and sustainable practices."
